Hello Forum Members,
Sorry if this question has already been answered.
I find the question about Police Certificate a bit ambiguous. So here is a timeline of my move and landing in Canada.

Moved to Canada on a work permit visa- Nov 1, 2017

Landed as a PR - March 21, 2018

Before moving to Canada, I lived in the US. I’m planning to apply for citizenship sometime in March 2021. In the 4 years prior to my application, I would have spent more than 183 consecutive days in the US. However, I had already submitted police certificate for that period during my PR application. Do I still need to get a Police Certificate from the US for my citizenship application?

Thank you for your help!

If you lived in your country of origin immediately prior to moving to Canada, you do not need to provide a police certificate as you already provided this to move here, and you need to mention this in your application. You only need to provide it if you lived outside of Canada for 6 consecutive months or longer subsequent to moving here.
