Hi

I received my ITA (Express Entry) on Sep 20,2017. I have a questions with regards to the PCC requirement.
I visited South Korea 3 times for official business purpose. Below are the departure/arrival dates on my passport, totaling to 167 days of stay. The CIC website says no need of a PCC for less than 6 months of stay. Based on the below information, do i still need a PCC ? From what i heard getting a Southkorean PCC is time-consuming, so i do not want to go through that process if it is not needed. Appreciate your help.

Regards

You don't need one but be aware that you can still get a request to provide it during the processing of your application.

Also write a LOE regarding the fact that you spent less than 6 months there.

167 days roughly translates to 5 months 15 days if am not wrong. I have seen people being requested for PCCs even with 5 months of foreign stay. I would highly recommend to proceed with the SK PCC process at the earliest. If its time-consuming, you can script up a detailed LOE informing CIC of the same and sharing proofs that indicate you have already started the process of obtaining your SK PCC. You can submit your eAPR with the detailed LOE attached. Good luck.

To add to the above, I do not have a Korean Alien card (as I went on short business visits each time) and the police agency cannot issue a PCC without an alien card number. Is there anyone that faced the same issue as I do ?
