NO. No. no... NO!
You don't need a lawyer, the system is intentionally built on self-service, plug-and-play approach. That said, sometimes you feel more confident if you let someone do it for you, but from my experience the official instructions combined with the web search give you much better information about Express Entry.

I never hired a consultant to file or manage my application, but had a few one-time sessions with a pretty established and well-recommended Canadian immigration consultant (https://canstartimmigration.ca). So at one point I received an ADR - grad kit - and she was confused by it, said that it might be a mistake, referred me to another consultant who was her professor in the law grad school, and that guy was unable to tell me what the ADR means.

A few clicks on this forum, on the other hand, will give you all information about this "Supplementary form for students", who receives it in the PR process and how to respond to it.

So it's just one example. Bottom line: don't waste time and money. Unlike the US, the Canadian immigration does not imply a value chain that includes a middleman. In the US it's the opposite, the forms are meant to be filled with the help of attorney and are intentionally confusing.

No, unless there are unique complexities which require a immigration solicitor to assist you in providing advices or when reapplying after a rejection of unusual reasons.
