Do i need 6 months on passport to travel to canada

Hi Guys,

Currently, I am in the USA. My student permit got approved and My Passport will be expired on October 26th,2018 and I would like to enter into CANADA on May 6th, 2018. Will I face any issues with the immigration saying that my passport has to be valid for at least 6 months when I entered into CANADA? Please do the needful for the same.

No issues. However the study permit will only be issued for the duration of your passport validity. You'll need to renew your passport and then apply to extend your study permit.

Thanks for your reply. Once I entered into Canada I will be renewing my passport for sure.
