Hi,
I have a dependent child from a previous marriage, the is child is in his mother's custody and lives with her, and is not coming with me at all.

now I have another child from my new wife. I'm planning to migrate with my new wife and child.
my question is:
Do I need to calculate POF for 3 persons (me, wife, child), or should I also include my first child whom is not in my custody and is not coming with me at all?

I only have enough money for 3 persons

You'll need to include your first child in your POF calculation even though that child is not coming with you to Canada. You must include all dependents in the POF calculation. So this means you must have POF to cover a family of 4 people.
