I am sponsoring my husband and it says in checklist to provide with travel doc/passport and medical exam. Should my husband do the medical exam now and send passport as well?

Thanks!

You should send photocopies of the passports with your application and it is recommended to do an upfront medical exam as well (although you can also do it afterwards when specifically requested)

Thanks for replying.

What about police certificate? Should my husband do it now or after?
Also, what are civil status documents and what kind of children information are they looking for? I have a daughter who is two months, does she need a police certificate and medical exam as well?

Police certificate can be provided upfront or at later stage. It takes different time and procedures for citizens of different countries, therefore the flexibility.
I think you should read the application guide and go through the document checklist, it will answer many of your questions. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/fc.asp
