You should just go for education loan. This way the bank would pay first two months tuition fee on your behalf and you would've no problems with finances or visa. And you owe bank after you get a job in Canada. You might pay interest till then to the bank.

To answer your question, it depends on the college/university. You will be required at minimum to pay 1 semesters fees. For filling visa, they will ask for period of tuition payment.
If you are in a country with SDS, them you have to pay full years fees to be elidible for SDS.
