Hi, I live in Honduras and I have been thinking about moving to Canada for the last year, I'm married whit no children and have a great job, however my wife and me have been thinking about moving to Canada to offer a better future for our children, she has a masters degree in architecture, and I work as a computer programmer/database administrator, however I didn't finish university because I was living illegally in the US since my parents bring me there when I was little, I only did 3 years since I wasn't able to afford tuition since I was there illegally, I moved back to Guatemala and got a job as a JR programmer and eventually got an Oracle certified professional, Java certified enterprise architect, and CISCO CCNP, I didn't go back to university here since it takes 5 yeas and 1 more year of thesis to get a degree and I already have all the knowledge I needed to land jobs around here,

my question is : Would my IT certifications qualify for the trade certifications mentioned for skilled immigrants? since I have noticed Chef certs and others qualify, when in Canada I migth go back to college to finish my degree just for the sake of if, since I have US credits I would only need arround 1 year, but in guatemala's greedy universities thet wanted me to do 3 years even if I already know everything they were going to teach me, besides there is no time to go to any University here because of my job

1. No they don't count as trade certifications, anyway there are no IT occupations on the list of 29 eligible occupations.
2. If you wife is a qualified architect and has at least 1 years experience in the past 10, her occupation qualifies on the list. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/complete-applications.asp
