Do dependant have to accompany the PA at "landing"

Dear Gurus,

I was wondering if it is MANDATORY for my dependants (wife and 2 kids) to accompany me during my "landing"...or they can come at a later date and still will retain their PR status...?

In addition when would their 2 years (PR requirement) start?....I assume when "THEY LAND"...... Is my assumption correct?

They do not have to accompany you when you land but they must land before their PR visas expire. If they do not land, the PR visa will be expired and you will have to sponsor them again with fees and waiting time etc.

Their residency requirements will start from the day they land. They have to have 730 days in Canada in their first 5 years as PR's and also in any rolling 5 year period after that.
