Has anyone heard of the visa office requesting a DNA test? My wife was reading something about that on a Chinese forum. I told her that's insanity and there is no way they're going to request this from us. Our son looks half white / half asian, as you'd expect from a mixed baby. If CIC asks for this, I will go ballistic!

They ask for them where there is a doubt concerning the paternity of children, or to establish relationship where family members are being sponsored. As you and your wife have been living together, I hardly think they will do that to you. Relax :)

The visa officer can request a DNA test. It is extremely uncommon.

My daughter looks nothing like me but I can show them some labour and delivery pictures, ha ha!
