I gave my test on Aug 26 and my status change to DM two days back. How long til i get the letter/email... any estimates anyone can help with... i will appreciate it

There is no exact time anyone can give you, could be a month or 2 or 3 or more. Its best you check the spreadsheet of your month's applicants and get a rough estimate by comparing your files to others in similar situations
