Hi guys
We have finally decided to go it alone and not use an Agent... Brazalots BMG !
As my husband is a Plumber ( level 3 City & guilds ) he has 15 years of total schooling ... 3 years of post school education and 10 years experience as a Plumber gas fitter.
Can anyone tell me if the following process is correct PR application for Alberta ?
1. We need to apply for Permanent Residency under FSTP ? NOC 7251
We have scored 67 points so far and will be looking for a job offer which adds a further 10 points !
Is this the correct route to go down? Competing form IMM8000?
2. Once the application is submitted with all the correct additional documentation, do we just sit back and wait contact from the embassy?
3. We don't mind that it will take 12 months or so and we fully understand the fees involved for the PR application and UK police check and doctors Medicals etc. Is there anything else that needs to be done? Have we missed anything?
4. If we are lucky enough to be granted the PR our understanding is that we can then take our time finding the right job, setting up a home and school for kids is this correct ? We spoke to a lady from the Canadian visa department yesterday and she advised us to apply straight away for PR , but does my husband need a job before PR is granted ? Or can he apply for a job once we are over there in Canada , because we also understand we need to have at leased $30,000.00 in cash to keep us going until he finds a job ?
Sorry it's a lot to ask but we are confused , but things are becoming clearer lol
Thanks a bunch
Naomi
