Dear members of forum.
A friend of mine, who wishes to apply under FSW stream is divorced with two children. She wonders whether IRCC requires to obtain a consent from her former husband so her children can immigrate with her?

Yes - absolutely. The children cannot be moved to Canada without her partner's consent.

Well, yes. Obviously.

How would she feel if her husband just moved to another country with the kids without asking!

Well, I was asking about IRCC requirements, so let's just skip the moral part. As to feelings, they could agree in oral, for example.

No - an oral agreement certain won't be accepted. Has to be written authorization.
