Hello,
we did our first landing in dec, 2010 and got our PR and SIN cards. my wife is the main applicant. we didnt stay for long in canada as we had planned to go back to settle there after a few months. unfortunately, we had to part ways and got divorced in 2011 in India and since then havent gone back to canada (though we still have our PR cards).

i need to know, can I (who is not the main applicant) go to canada since i have my individual PR card? I would like to go and look for a job or maybe start my own setup.
and can I be able to sponsor my mother to visit me, or maybe plan a future and be able to sponsor a person I might wish to marry.

thanks
m

Yes - you can go back to Canada.

No - you cannot sponsor your mother for immigration. Applications to sponsor parents are not being accepted by CIC at this time. However you can apply for a super visa to have your mother come and visit you for an extended period of time (if you meet the qualifications to apply for a super visa).

Did you and your wife immigrate through FSW or another skilled worker program? If so, then yes - you can sponsor a new partner. If you were sponosored by your first wife, then you'll need to wait five years.
