Hello there, i have a question to ask. My partner is planning to sponsor me for pr but my divorce with my ex is still in process, will that affect my pr application or should i just wait till i get the divorce and then apply for pr?

As long as you're officially common-law (having lived together for 12 months) with your current partner, the ongoing divorce process should not have any effect on the application.
 
Also what should i write or put together to let them know that there's an on going divorce. What i mean to ask is how do i write the letter and can you give me a guideline as to things and what to write for.

You can just write a letter in your own words explaining your situation. Nothing special about it.
