Depends on the school where you obtained your MBA and the school you wish to attend in Canada. The only way to answer this question is to contact the school in Canada you want to attend and ask if they will recognize your MBA and if it meets the criteria for a PhD program in Canada.

Again, you'll need to contact U of T and discuss this with them directly. No one here can help you. Each program within each school has individual entry requirements and may or may not accept a distance degree from your school. Once again, contact U of T.
