Hello,

I wanted to understand if I can choose to not disclose one of my recent education which was PG Diploma. Is there any way for officers to find out ? I know it is not ethical but given the unwarranted decisions taken by VO & rejecting applications I don't want to take risk.

I am planning to do similar course & afraid my study permit might get rejected if they notice the course is equivalent to what I have done before.

Right now, depending on where you study, each student is registered in one system. For example, in Europe there is a unified credit system and there is a database which these countries share, and some outside of the EU. It is easy to search a student and see what is the last educational level. Most likely, your country already implemented something similar. Not disclosing your educational level is misrepresentation. It is easy to lose a trust of a VO, but is very hard to convince them otherwise.
If you want to immigrate, there are other ways, including Atlantic immigration pilot. For it, you are not required to have high level of English. You are not required to study in a uni unless you want to learn something new, but hiding your diploma is a bad bad bad idea

Thanks, got it. Makes complete sense.

I have no problem with my IELTS score, I have already maxed it out to CLB 10. My PG certificate from UK was sent to WES & they didn't acknowledge it as equivalent to Canadian qualifications. So big share of my score is lost from my age & my PG not being acknowledged. Have tried out all possible routes & most of the other programs apart from Federal EE require either a job offer or your NOC should be in demand, I don't fall in either category.

After spending time to research, I see study as one of the stronger option to set foot in Canada & increase my points by education & the work experience I would get after study. This would take my score way beyond existing cutoff. Its a long shot, but I need to try as my life depends on it.

Why won’t you study masters then? Did you do bachelors already?

I have done my bachelors & Post Graduation. Looked at some Masters options but it is extremely expensive (like 2 to 3 times the price of PG) which is out of my budget at the moment. I am doing this course only to set foot in Canada & invite my spouse to be honest who will actually claim points after completing 1 year of experience.

Then why won’t your spouse find a job first and then invite you over for SOWP as well? I know it is easier to find one in Canada, but it is not impossible to find one outside

We have tried since past 11 months every possible route to find a job. Direct, calls, emails, job portals. Most never revert back & the very few who do state that they are only accepting applicants having valid work permit or having PR. Her NOC is even in high demand in certain provinces with 100's of job openings as per Job Bank portal but still no success.

Trust me, I wouldn't spend so much money if there were other alternatives I haven't tried already :)

Hmmm... Anyways, by lying you will only ruin your chances. Try to apply for SP with what you have now (in order to increase chances, apply from your home country). If it won't work, then they only other solution I see is to reach out to immigration lawyers. I know it is expensive, time-consuming. Or look at rural areas, seriously. It is one of the easiest ways to secure PR even if you will trade off some years living in a small rural community and no need to invest into an education

A condition of studies is return to home country, so you want to lie in order to emigrate. Yes that's very unethical.

Don't disclose if you wish to have a 5 year ban for misrepresentation

what if the student fails and doesnt disclouse that he failed, during the study I was working for the company and continued to study. After that i found out i cant study any more moved on to permanant role in the same company. and worked for long.

Does it fall under misinterpretation ??

If it lead to no degree or certificate, then it doesn’t count (I imagine)

oh ok ... the only question is ... I was in UK in the year 2008 till 2010, at this time i was freelancing a startup for two years as my Univ project and their startup had the same project for which they paid me . After I came back from england i joined the company as full time and worked till 2012 and this company still exist with 500 employees and i know the company ceo very well as I am one of those first employees associated with the organization and we still keep in touch.

I did not mention about my studies being discontinued, i never had a rejection in VISA, travelled to UK USA and Korea in the last 10 years,
even in the documents it only asked abt rejections where in i never had any rejections and i did not lie on the documents as well. I never had any criminal history from UK as i took police verification certificate for all the countries i tralled( i applied for PR for which i thought police clearance is mandatory for all countries )

I got my AIP, in stage 2 if they validate my biometric , will that be a problem ??? i really dont know , i did not lie on any of the documents they requested for.
Will it not be my choice if i failed ina degree, i dont want to mention abt it ???

UK has unified credits system which it shares with Europe and most likely Canada. How can you fail your studies and still be working? It sounds illegal to me, and is not a good history. So, how did your studies in UK ended? Did you fail a degree, came back home, and receive working visa?

the company i worked is in INDIA, we were doing GPS tracking system for CABs , my project in engineering was of same, initial before i went to UK i worked with them on prototype model for demo as i was in the same background,

I gave a promise to them that i can support them remotely from UK for any customer demos or project work, while i was studying in UK i did support them,
came to India ( they sponsored me ) to give 2 demos during my break time.

Unfortunately i couldnt complete as i was not happy with the university and the course i took up, and returned to india without completing the degree, few subjects i failed due to lack of interest, after I returned to home country i joined the same organization and worked till 2012, which i have legal pay stubs, it returns, every thing that is required for my work for associated with them since 2008 till 2012 after that i moved on to worlds biggest mobile manufacturer company and so on my work exp moved on ...

This happened 10 years back.
