Hi,

I was looking to get some advice on my Canadian Express Entry Application. I had received an ITA almost a month and a half back with a CRS score of 471. I was an 8 band in IELTS and have 5+ years of work experience.

I just had a question, that’s been bothering me. So I was recently doing my paper work. I am slightly disabled, about 10 percent really, mostly my right hand is weak. I was honest in my medical check up and now my file reads that I am disabled. But I lead a normal life and have 5+ years of work experience. I was reading online how Canada considers disabled people as liabilities to their health care. I don't really require health care since my condition is untreatable and it doesn't affect the quality of my life.

My question actually is, Should I attach a Letter of Explanation about my condition and how it doesn’t affect me in my day-to-day life and that I’m fit to be a tax-paying immigrant. According to my dad, I shouldn’t provide this information as my 5+ work experience is self-explanatory. I’ll be fine.

I was just wondering how to go about this.

Will be very thankful for your help and advice here.

Thanks!

Hi,

As far as I've researched my condition will in no way burden Canada's healthcare. I think I'll be way below the healthcare expenditure cap. I just want to know if I should explicitly state this in an LOE?

Anyone who has successfully immigrated a disabled person or as a disabled person, kindly help me out here.

I will greatly benefit from your learnings.

Hello

Honestly, I have no experience or knowledge on this case but in my opinion writing LOE to case officer will certainly help ,atleast it will not have any negative effect either.
Furthermore, it will give you peace of mind as well that you had explained your condition.

Dont leave it to if or but just write it.

In addition, you can ask your employer to give you letter stating that you fullfil all work responsiblities and never had any problem at work beacuse of your disability.

I hope it helps.
Good luck
