June 24,2014 To God be the glory! PR CARD received: August 22, 2014 (exactly 60 days after landing)! Son's PR card arrived August 27, 2014 (exactly 65 days after landing)
My son (dependent) has been approved for a student permit last week in the Philippines while our Spousal sponsorship inland is being processed.

I am pretty sure that CEM will request his passport soon for the PR application. If he is already here in Canada when they ask for the passport, should I just send his passport from here to Philippines? Is that the right procedure? Or should I let them know he is inside Canada already and probably just send his passport to a Local cic office?

How does this work? I hope somebody can help me!

Thank u!

I would send the passport to the Philippines processing center because that is who will request it. I think if you send it to somewhere in Canada they won't know what to do with it.

BUT when he comes to Canada, you need to send an e-mail or letter saying about his change of address otherwise when they return the passport to him they will send it to his old address in the Philippines.

This is just what I think makes sense. You always send the papers to the office that requested it.

Thank you so much! That really made sense! :) Though I know the answer I just really need to confirm it with somebody! :P

Thank you again!
