Hi All,
We ( my wife & 2 kids) are in the planning stage of putting our Immigration papers to Canada.
As all of you will agree ... it s ONE of the Major decision that we will ever have to make.
My wife is a registered nurse in UAE ( diploma holder from UAE) with 10 years experience in Dubai.
I'm a commerce graduate with a good sales manager job.
I would like to know:-
  • What are the chances of my wife getting a job
Will she have to go back to school to work as a registered nurse
What is the minimum cost involved to have a decent family life
What is the minimum salary paid or earned.
What benefits can we avail when we land.

Hi Kama,

You may aware that Canada stopped receiving applications for skilled workers. You have to wait until it comes up with the new policies for Federal Skilled Work. Only then you will be able to reply. For details, you can check

cic.gc.ca
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who.asp

If you can arrange a job offer then you can apply.

First of all prepare your self as per new point grid system which is proposed...
You have to pre assess your credential via WES/ ICAS
You have to score minimum to 6.00 band in all S,W,R and 6.5 in L
if you pass the new grid eligibility with 67 and more then...
- chances of your wife getting a job will be high if you stay for 2 year and join co op program...
- After credential being evaluated your wife will have Canadian evaluated credential...but still recommended to join in her field of study to acclimatise on her field as per Canadian system
- depends upon province to province...Around 1200-1600 cad $ per month
- if permanent job then minimum overhead cost will be maintained easily and can have a huge saving...
- all facilities as per province offered to PR holders...
best of luck..

Regards, Spartan!
