Hi,

My first Post.
I need help in calculating my points as I'm a bit unclear with the point calculation.
I am applying for NOC is 2173 (Software Engineer & Designer).

I have 4.8 years of work experience.
I am 27 years old.
Education - BE (computer Science)
IELTS : Listening - 8; Reading - 6; Writing - 6; Speaking - 7

Please let me know how many points do I get.

Also, with these points is it a good idea to apply right now.
I want to know my chances of getting through.

Please help me clarifying these doubts.

Thanks in advance.

I believe you are one point short.

Unfortunately you can't apply unless you have 67 points. Do you have a spouse who can take the IELTS test for additional points? Do you have any family in Canada for adaptability points?

It looks like you are one point short.

13 points for experience
12 points for age
21 points for education
20 points for IELTS

Total 66 (you need 67)

Another option would be to re-write IELTS to get a higher score and more points. However I don't think you have enough time to do this before NOC 2173 reaches its cap.
