Digital photos - contradictory requirements on application & website

I assume you are applying for express entry and about to upload your documents? if so, you need to follow the requirements as described in the place holder of the application portal - these requirements are for digital photograph.

the 2nd set of requirements is for after PPR when you have to send your passport for visa stamping (see how they mention the back of photograph should have photographer's name etc)

Yes, I've filled the eAPR and just about to upload my documents. This is what the requirements for digital photos states on IRCC website o_O


Digital photos
Purpose
To confirm identity

Document requirements
Individuals who must submit this documentation
  • The principal applicant
  • Their spouse or common-law partner
  • Their dependent children, including non-accompanying
