I was going through the specific requirement of the digital photo needed post ITA.
Please confirm what should be the physical dimension of the photo:

35mm x 45mm
or
50mm x 70mm

It is mentioned in my EE profile while uploading digital photo that it should be min 35mm x 45mm but mentioned in the PR card form (someplace else in CIC website) that it should ideally be 50mm x 70mm.
Getting all confused.

Furthermore, please confirm, while applying for e-APR, we need to give only digital photo having ideally 240KB (or at least 60KB) size and atleast 420 x 540 px size..right?

If we are giving digital photo, then why all this confusion of size in mm (physical dimensions).
Will we be submitting our physical photo post ITA as well?

Any suggestion on this pls..

The photo size is 50 x 70 with White Background and ideal size of 240kb. Just ask your photographer to give you Digital Photo with these requirements.

Later on Visa Office can ask for photo with their own requirements.

The physical dimensions need to be at least 35 x 45 mm. The digital dimensions need to be at least 420 x 540 pixels.

You submit the digital photo along with eAPR. The physical photos are sent by mail when you get the passport request (PPR).

Thank you Picklee. So if it is ATLEAST 35 x 45 mm..is it safe to get the photo clicked for 50 x 70 mm dimension and use the digital image to upload in the application making sure that the size is at least 420 x 540 pixel. Again here it says at least so it can be more than that too..right?
Pls confirm.

Yes! They provide minimum dimensions so that people don't upload really low resolution images that cannot be used. The physical dimensions are so that it will fit into the PR card when they scan and print it.

You don't need any physical photo for online application. Your photographer must give you Digital Photo (on USB or email) with these dimensions.

Yes off course BillHyatt. I meant to get the digital photo clicked in a way that physical turns out to be 50mm x 70mm.
I can use the physical photos for other documents needed for my PR application where my physical pic is needed and can also send the pics along during the PPR process hopefully.
I hope my understanding is clear here..pls confirm.

Thank you!
Will get the pic created for 50mm x 70mm format and upload the digital pic in my PR application.
