Hi Seniors,

I have recently applied for CEC.
My company HR provided a digital letter of reference with the total salary and current job designation. This is a generic letter as the company does not provide PR specific letters. My supervisor also provided a generic digital letter of reference with the details of the roles and responsibilities and my total work hours per week. I have also provided the T4 and NOA along with the payslips.
Should there be any concern if I am asked for the originals for these? Would digital letter of reference be considered as originals?
Your help needed.

Pls can u give a detailed definition of a Digital letter of reference????? I never heard about that before.

I believe it was sent to him in a PDF file or Word file via email.

I would suggest getting the letter signed. It should be signed next to the officer or supervisor name and contact info.

In addition to bravosix's comment, the letter should have all the information on the document checklist and attach the business card of the person CIC will call to verify information.

a pdf file was send to me via e-mail which has the required information . I have send the application without the business card of the supervisor / HR, although the contact details (official e-mail address and phone no) are provided in the letters...would that be enough?

the signature of the supervisor is there in the e-mail , but as this document was send as a pdf file via email to me, I send this as a part of application.

Yea, if you can't get the business card just print the letter and mail it with the rest of your documents.
Also make sure company's address and website are included.
