Difficulty checking application process on CIC

Hi I'm applying Outland from London.My wife's sponsor application was received Mississagua September 6, and we have UCI and Application number.I've tried checking for progress but not getting anywhere.Should I use her name or mine to check on the CIC website? Many thanks,

Are you using ECAS (CIC check Status) or GCMS (myCIC)?

ECAS: If you use the Application Number, the Sponsor's Surname / DOB / Country of Origin you will see both the PR application and the Sponsorship applications. If you use the Principal Applicant's Surname / DOB / Country of Origin you will see only the PR application (assuming you can see it).

myCIC: You will have to create an account, then you can search for the application and link it to your myCIC account. This is better because you will get a little more detail, and it will notify you when your application changes.

Why is my sponsor unable to access either ECAS or MyCIC? :/

FYI - Just because they received the application does not mean they have opened it yet.

It will be a long while until you are able to see the status online.

Make sure you check your email for any correspondence.

he has to use his file number with his information.

Use Application Number
His Surname
His DOB
His Country of Origin

If that doesn't work, then it's probably because they are still entering the file information.

Iam doing that.. but it isnot working. Are they still inputing the data after AoR1? Isnot that done before?

Then the sponsor should contact CIC to ask about access to ECAS. Did you try myCIC?

Yes.. i (principal applicant) can access MyCIC and ECAS both..but it doesnot show any sponsor information or progress on the file for sponsorship approval. :/

Yeah, check with CIC about that.

Try either first thing in the morning (7 or 8am) or lunch time (12-2pm). My times are Eastern.
