Difference between SDS and university students application

Hi,

Can anyone tell the difference between SDS and university students application for student visa process?

Agent told me that no financial documents needed in SDS application.at the same time he told me to display 50 lacs of liquid fund for university student application.

Which is better?

Please try to comment asap.

The funding to show is:
First year tuition + $ 10000 (living cost) + buffer (some $ k extra)
Under SDS, you have to submit 1 year fees and purchase GIC (covers living cost) so don't need to show any extra finance.
Under university, you have to show the required amount as you won't have GIC/1 year tuition.
SDS is faster as your financial part is already taken care of and you fulfill language criteria.
