Hi,
I just landed in canada yesterday and at the immigration the officers asked me if I were married. I told them I was but my visa showed my marital status as single as I had applied for the visa before I got married and dues to certain circumstances I could not add my wife as a dependent.
My passport was take by the officers and have to told to contact them in a week's time during which time they will take a call about letting me land or not.
Can some please help me with what I can do to resolve this.

It's probably time to hire a very good immigration lawyer.

You were obligated to add your wife to your application before landing. This was not an option. It was mandatory.

Since you failed to add your wife to your application and tried to land as a single individual, you technically tried to commit misrepresentation (lying to gain an immigration benefit). Misrepresentation is a crime. It's possible CIC may still let you land and add your wife to your application. It's possible they may cancel your PR visa completely.

Again - get a good lawyer.

This serves as an excellent example of why it's critial to follow the rules. If you don't follow the rules, expect bad consequences.
