In my excitement to land, the form was overlooked. I have some things that are stored in my mum's loft in the UK that I would like to ship over here at some point in the not too distant future. There is nothing of great value, no furniture or jewellery etc, just personal effects, books, ornaments, photos, letters, that kind of thing.

Is there anything at all I can do? If I call to ask advice, will they flat out say that I have no options other than to pay the taxes, or is their a chance that they may be able to help me out?

Thanks :)

You landed in March 2013 according to your profile? If that is the case then no, I would expect there is no way to retroactively add items to a declaration that should have been done 4 years ago. Anything you ship now will be subject to duties/taxes depending on their description/value.

Doesn't sound like anything you'd need to pay duties on.
