Didn’t receive invitation for 1st interview after 4 months pf BOC submission

BOC was submitted on 30th Jan 2024
Medical passed on 14 February 2024
Till now no any update to surrender the passport and take the work permit

is this normal time period?
Some of my friends they surrender their passport and took work permit after 40 days of BOC submission,

what should i do

How long it gonna take?

Some waited close to a year to get a WP. WPs seem to being approved faster but there is huge variability in processing times between individuals and locations. The asylum process can take years for many.
