Google Kemi Olunloyo.

I hope this is allowed here. If not, I hope you will allow me to repost it without personal details.

This post concerns Kemi Olunloyo, a Nigerian refugee who was deported from Canada to Nigera. She was born and raised in Nigeria. She moved to the United States. She lived there for decades. She never got American citizenship. She got charged for several criminal offenses in Georgia, USA. She jumped bail and went back to Nigeria. A year later in 2007, she came to Canada and claimed refugee status. After 5 years, she was deported to Nigeria. But before she was deported, they arrested her and held her in jail for a week.

This woman is threatening to come back to Canada as a visitor. This woman does not have a real job in Nigeria. The reason I know this is because she is very active on social media. Her family supports her financially.

There are also people that are mentioning that she can come back to Canada as a refugee again.

I know she would need an ARC to come here as a visitor. She has outstanding criminal charges in the USA. How likely is it that she will be allowed to come to Canada as a visitor? I am still upset that Canada let her enter in 2007 when she had outstanding criminal charges in the United States.

Is it possible that she can come back and claim refugee status a second time? Nigeria is getting very violent. I just cannot believe Canada would let a person come back to Canada who had to be detained for a week before deportation. I thought it was possible but very unlikely.

Thank you for responses. This would really upset me if this woman was to be allowed back in Canada for even a day.

I would suggest that CIC and CBSA are the appropriate authorities to contact about this. Whatever our personal views, we have no influence over what happens. Maybe you should start an online petition if you feel strongly about it. See "change.org".

I contacted the federal minister responsible for immigration a while back. I have not received a reply yet. But that may not be unusual. Sometimes, they take a long time to reply to people contacting them. I am hoping this is a situation where the minister confirmed this person will never be allowed back in Canada but they cannot discuss it with me due to privacy rules.

In all honesty, sending emails to ministers is probably a complete waste of time. You need to be contacting the organisations that actually process this stuff. Include the RCMP as well if you like....

Thank you for your advice. I will contact these people. I am not sure what they are allowed to tell me but I will try to get something.
