Hi everyone and thanks in advance for any help and advice. I'm a 28 year old able bodied man with a GED and certification in heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration. I speak, write and read english at about a 95%. My mother took me to the US illegally when I was 1 year old so I was raised in the US. When I turned 19 I was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute 9 ounces of cocaine. I was sentenced to 12 years in prison, on which I served 6 and was let go on parole but at the time of my release I was deported. I've been in mexico now for over 2 years and would like to move to canada legally. What can I do?

Realistically? Forget about Canada for at least a few years. Currently, you are almost certainly criminally inadmissible to Canada. Based on your narrative, you may well be for another 9 years.
Unfortunately you cannot move to Canada easily. You will need to apply for rehabilitation, and for that, five years needs to have passed since the completion of your sentence.

It is not impossible, but it will be quite difficult, and you will have to engage an attorney and create a strong case. Also, you must not have any more convictions in the five year period.

You’re definitely inadmissible until your conviction is complete (the full 12 years, plus the 5 years). At that point, I’d suspect the possession with intent to distribute would still make it exceptionally difficult to immigrate, not to mention your age by that time would work against your immigration.
As others have said, you are currently inadmissible to Canada due to your crime. This means you cannot enter Canada for any reason. It will be several years before you qualify to apply for rehabilitation. Rehabilitation is the application process which allows the inadmissibility to be lifted and for you to be allowed to enter Canada. As others have said, due to the serious nature of your crime, it's hard for any of us to say if rehabilitation will be approved in your case. So the short answer is that Canada is not an option for you now - it may be an option in several years or it may never be an option.
