Hi, everyone
actually my elder brother is here from past 2 years on study basis and so was i ready to come here. soo when i was about to come here my father expired now the thing was that i can't leave my mom there so anyhow i got my mother canadian visa . we dont have any business or house back in india as we lived on rent now me and brother are the only bread-winners of our small family and we want to keep our mother with us .
can anyone guide us how can we do that?
because our mother is not in a condition to be left alone as she is already shocked by our father's death.

Parents aren't classified as dependents.

Your mother can come to Canada as a visitor but cannot live here. Sooner or later she will need to return home.

Ok mam,
But can we change her visitor visa on work visa
She is already in canada with me

If you become permanent residents and meet a certain minimum income for a few years you could consider supervisa or applying to the PGP lottery. These options don't seem possible now but perhaps in few years.

To change her status to work permit, she needs to secure a full time job offer and the employer needs to obtain an approved LMIA. She can then apply for a closed work permit. Generally speaking, it tends to be very difficult to find employers willing to go through the LMIA process. However you can certainly try.

Thankyou both for your coperation
I would like to know a bit more
Is there anyother way that we can keep our mother here
Coz we have nothing left in our home country
How will she manage there
There must be a way.

A work permit is the only way. Again, to secure a work permit, she needs to find an employer willing to offer her a full time job and that employer needs to obtain an approved LMIA.

Neither of you can sponsor her at this time. And with a visitor visa, she will need to return home sooner or later. She cannot live in Canada on a visitor visa.

You can apply to extend her visitor visa but it may be refused and not a longterm solution. She was admitted as a visitor and should never have planned to relocate permanently. Your family will have to decide how she will resettle in India.

No actually my brother is done with his studies and his convocation is approaching so maybe we can extend visa on that basis
