Dependent Open Work Permit Validity

Hi,

My company has applied Closed Work permit for myself and Open work permit for Spouse.
Once we travel and start working respectively what is the validity of my Spouse's permit i.e. Is it totally dependent on my Visa renewal or the Spouse's company will renew her visa.
If i resign from job or get transferred to offshore does my Spouse's visa becomes invalid or she can still work.

She can still work. She just won't be able to renew her work permit.

Is there a way to make her work permit independent on me i.e her company could file a separate visa later? or the only solution is if PR is applied for both of us

Her employer in Canada would need to get an approved LMIA and then she would need to switch to a closed work permit.

Is the spouse Visa still valid if the primary applicant leaves the country?
