Dependent medical exam

Hello everyone,

I have a question regarding my dependent medical exam.
I called IRCC and the agent confirmed that my dependent has passed medical. But we didn’t receive any medical exam request.
He has been in Canada since 2019, only traveled back home for 2 or 3 times. He was a student first and now holding work permit. Is it because he’s been in Canada such a long time and exempted from it?
Hopefully anyone who has any similar experience or knowledge can explain.

I’m protected person and applied PR which included my dependent
