I am planning to submit my application within the next few months; but I have a question concerning the Dependent Children's School Record.
In my case, my dependent child is a stepchild, who would have been living with me only for three years (not even four by the time I submit the application); before that my wife and stepchild lived abroad. Moreover, my wife does not have school records for one or two years. My stepchild could not complete the school year due to financial and family reasons, and the school would not release them if tuition is not paid in full.
So, my question here is whether I could provide letter(s) to CIC explaining the following:
1. That my dependent child has not even been living with me for more than four years (or been officially my dependent child for the same period of time); and
2. Indicate the periods of time for which I am not providing the school records, stating financial and family issues.
