Dependent child

We applied under common law, my partner is Canadian I am German, my son (he will turn 21 in summer) will not come to Canada and he is not included in our application to be sponsored.
Today I received an email of CPCV and they are asking for the form IMM 0008DEP, does that mean, he has to do also the medical and submit police check etc., anybody experience with a case like that?

In order to continue processing your application in Canada, further information is required. You must complete/submit the following to the Case Processing Centre:
[X] Please note all family members both inside and outside Canada must be listed on your application form along with a current address and phone number even if they are not applying to join you in Canada. Please complete the Additional Dependants/Declaration (IMM 0008DEP) for your son "..........

He also has to subscribe the form, what can I do if he don't, he is adult, I can not force him.... Help!

If your son is not complying with your request then simply add an additional page explaining that fact.

Fill the form they requested and send it in. I am pretty sure your son does not have to do anything though. You fill the form, sign that all information is true. What is it you think he has to do? I do not believe you need anything else done for him(medical/police checks).

The medical is suggested for those who will sponsor their children in the future. If you have no intentions of that and are sure then you need not do it.

It is so confusing, all guides say, all dependants have to do the medical and the police check, even if they don't want to come to canada. U mean I only have to explain that we have no intension to sponsor him in future and fill and sign the form myself? thx for ur answer

No. I mean you fill the form and sign your part. I may be wrong on the police check/medical because he is over 18. But if you have asked and he will not get it there is nothing you can do. As you have said he is an adult, what are you going to do? ground him?!

Do the best you can to get what they are asking you for. If he will not, then write a letter of explanation. Include contact information for him and if they want they can try to contact him themselves.

Ya, what u are saying makes sense. My whole day was messed up, because I knew this request will cause problems. But ok I already tried to contact my son, and if he is not answering I go the route u suggested.
