Dependent child - working student

Is it ok to sponsor my child who works part time? Since it is stated that the child must be dependent on the parent. I was wondering if it is ok for him to continue working or should he stop?
 
How old is the child?
 
Have you already submitted the sponsorship application? Or is this something you are planning on doing in the future? It's not clear from the information you have provided so far.

Yes I have submitted the PR application last July 2014, they have finished their medicals on May 2015. I was wondering if him working would cause problems with the background checks. I will be submitting the additional doc requirements(police clearance,passport etc) this week. Also I am a live in caregiver.

I wouldn't worry about him having a job.
 
Agreed - the job is fine. He just can't get married or start living with someone.
