Delayed student visa application process

Hi my application for student visa was confirmed on 7th dec but till now it's showing under process.can you tell me genuine reason behind this delay. Also my classes will starts on Jan 6, 2020.

Me also I finished my medical exam and biometric but until now I did not receive any update my class
