Delay on SIN release

I applied for SIN last May 26 but until now I haven't received my SIN from mail. Also i've checked it on Service Canada office, they told me that i have to wait for 20 working says.

I dont understand because my wife got her SIN same day.

Where can i check aside from Service Canada?
I need your help

Today, I called service Canada and the agent tagged it as urgent.

I hope I'll have it this week.

I'm sorry but if you're inside Canada and went to service Canada, how didn't you get your SIN number on the same day?

If you have the correct paperwork i.e. work permit and proof of address, they should have given you it there and then

Hi I am also in the same situation. I went in to Service Canada in person, couldn't get it and said need more validation. Now it has been almost three weeks and heard nothing back. I am very anxious now. Does anyone know how to expedite this? I called them today but they just told me to wait.
