Delay in parents' visa processing time. PLS HELP

Hi everyone! I currently have a Canadian PR and I am about to deliver my first baby in Canada. My parents who have a UAE Investor visa / residency have applied to be able to travel with me and be there at the time of my delivery. The application was submitted on 28th of May and our tickets are booked for 2nd July as per doctor's request not to travel post that date while pregnant. We used the doctors letter in an urgent request to IRCC about 2 weeks ago and so far no request was sent for parents to submit their passports. We are less than 9 days away from traveling and I am getting extremely worried to the lack of response.. can anyone help explain what is happening and if there os anything i can do?

No such thing as a “urgent request” for a TRV. Sorry to be blunt, but they don’t care about an applicant’s desire or preference, especially if this could have been avoided with proper planning.

There’s nothing you can do and let the application process in your own time.

You might have to travel alone first or rebook your flight.

You should never book flights before getting an approved visa.
