Hi All,

I have qualified from India with a degree of B.A. LL.B (Hons.). Does this count as professional degree required to practice any profession for calculating CRS score?

If your ECA says "Bachelor of Laws", then yes, you will get points for professional degree required to practice.

WES has been issuing varying evaluations for LLB graduates.

People who graduated with LLB from universities like Delhi University where a prior university degree is required to join and LLB is a standalone degree, not an integrated degree, have usually received an evaluation as Bachelor of Laws.

People who have graduated with BA/BCOM/BBS + LLB degrees, and who were part of 5 year integrated programes, have usually received evaluation as 4 year bachelor degree.

However, it is not necessary that you may get the same outcome. You should still go ahead and get your ECA done. I would suggest that you get your ECA done from CES instead of WES as CES has a better reputation in providing more accurate ECA's.
