Hello, i have received my study permit for my masters course but as it arrived with delay so i was not able to travel and had to deferred my course to next term which will starts during fall 2026. Though my study permit and TRV are valid till 2027 but my IME is expiring by feb 2026 6 months before my travel plan. As i have threads, i suppose to do a new exam by feb 2026 and update to IRCC through a webform. Upon receiving my new LOA from university i informed IRCC already through a webform, and few days before i posted a query to them regarding IME, today they have replied that i should remind them by Jan 2026 and they may request a medical if extension of validity is possible. Here i got confused about which validity they have said that regarding permit which is already valid till 2027, so either they gonna extend validity for my current IME and would ask me to do new medical exam under same IME or what would be further outcome?
According to their response, it means i have to do medical by jan 2026 before expiration in order to save visa from inactivation.
