Deferral for one year

Hi Everyone!

George Brown culinary 1 year sep 2021 intake, applied on May 15
Still no positive response from visa application.

At the moment I'm in a college in US, i don't want to defer and go to Canada in June, so at least i can finish my year here and get a diploma.

What are the possibilities if I defer my program for 1 year (to sep 2022)?

Would they cancel my study permit cuz it is a long time? Would they make me apply for it again?
