Declaration????

Cic has requisted more info and meds for fam members (kids) wich we will NOT be able to obtain, we have sent them a letter that we are willing to sign a declaration that we will not try to sponser any one in the future, Will this be accepted or do we have no change??????????


timeline: nov 14 2009 sent appl
nov 19 appl received
feb 1 2010 started proccessing
May June July made calls to cic Got nothing
sept called cic got told we should have heard something
sept 9 got aip and requist for more info
sept 15 info we sent was received.
we havent heard anything yet..............

Sponsoring dependent children?.

I am sponsering my husband inland,Vegreville. (there is no contact with kids 21 and 18)

You can try with an undertaking as mentioned.
But legally they can be sponsored if the following rule is applicable:

Dependent children
A son or daughter is dependent when the child:

•is under the age of 22 and does not have a spouse or common-law partner
•is a full-time student and is substantially dependent on a parent for financial support since before the age of 22, or since becoming a spouse or common-law partner (if this happened before age 22) or
•is financially dependent on a parent since before the age of 22 because of a disability.




they are not dependent children when they become age of 22 or get married before that age.
