Hey everyone, I'm starting my work and travel year in Canada next Tuesday and remembered the declaration cards they hand out during the flight. There's two things I'm not quite sure about.
The first is the purpose of the trip where I'm not quite sure whether work&travel counts as "Personal" or "Business" or even both?
The second thing is whether I still count as a visitor and should just put 365 days as duration of stay or if I become a temporary resident once I obtain my working permit.

Thanks already for any help!

Obviously you are not a business visitor so check personal.

For days if your IEC is for a year enter 365 days in part B given you are not an actual resident but technically still a visitor at least until your permit has been issued which by the way as you know is not a given for a year if you cannot show 12 months insurance.

The declaration card is a start point for CBSA assessment so no need to overthink it as long as the part A is completed fully and honestly.
