I just checked the CIC online services and finally, after more than two years, the file information was updated to: DECISION MADE.

All it notes is that we will be notified of the decision.

Is there a quick way to know of the outcome?

have you sent your passport or had a passport request and the embassy has the passport? If so, you are 99% going to receive your passport back with a visa :)

I've not heard anything except seen the update online. I don't know when it was updated, either. Must have been in last few days. I'm going crazy with anticipation. What's next?!

But how do I know for sure if the PR visa will be given or not?!

You did not answer my previous post. Did you send them your passport at some point after they requested it?

If you sent them your passport, you will get it back with Visa. If you didn't sent them your passport, I am afraid it might not be a good news.

This update is very recent and I'm not sure when it was posted. I think I checked a few days ago and it still said 'In Process'. We've not had any request for the passport yet.

I'm wondering what others have experienced once they knew the decision was made. Or, how did they know?

If they have said "decision made" and they haven't asked for your passport, I'm almost certain that they will reject you or they might ask you to bring your passport to the visa office to stamp the visa in it. Have they asked you to go to an interview?

I agree as with decision made it means file is done and everyone else got decision made after PPR and embassy sent back passport as it would make no sense for decision made and then they request passport as decision made is followed by landed not ppr :(
