Pre-Assessed..
I've been trying to go back and look at what Decision Made meant to people. I have no idea if this is good or bad. It's been just over 30 days that they've had my paperwork and have said that they sent us out a letter. Does this mean it's a bad decision made?

No-one can say until you get the letter. Decision made can go either way, you have to wait to be notified.

For anyone who has already received a letter. What does it normally say? Is it one sheet of paper?

I got it from the e-mail, and look like this e-mail is the only thing I will get.

This letter confirms receipt of the processing fee. It is also an outline of the basic requirements of the undertaking that you have signed as a sponsor and your formal obligations under that agreement. Please retain this letter for your personal records. THIS IS THE ONLY COPY THAT WILL BE ISSUED TO YOU.

If I got an email, it must have went to my junk folder immediately, and been trashed. What should I do in this instance?

I assume you are in the first stage of sponsorship approval. You should be getting a letter real soon if not call CIC, provided that your status does say DECISION MADE. I had a similar problem (my address was incorrect) so I called them.

Outside of Canada, the number to call CIC is: 001-613-944-4000(please note to check this number since I copied this from another thread and I do not know if this is still today the actual number)

Inside of Canada, the number to call CIC is: 1-888-242-2100

Good Luck :-)

It definitely does say Decision Made. It was mailed out on May 11th and I know that the mail in Canada can be extremely slow. We sent our paperwork off and spend $20 bucks on next day delivery. It took 4 days to get an hour. So, I have no hope that the letter will arrive promptly.

Our letter was supposedly sent out May 3, and it still has not arrived... /sigh

Odd. They sent a letter to my husband on May 9th, and he received it today. From CPC-M to Elliot Lake (northern ON) in 7 days.

I'm in Alberta, maybe that's why. I dunno... I maybe should phone and ask for them to resend it...

Mississauga is only an hour and 15 min from where the letter needs to go. It was sent on the 11th so I can only hope it arrives today!

Just call the immigration office they will tell you what the decision was, I did I couldn't handle waiting to get the letter. They will tell you. :D

Trying to call but they keep saying no one is available to take my call and they hang up.

I got through!

The telephone operator stated that "Decision Made" means the person who sponsored IS eligible to do so. The second part that gets mailed off to wherever (in our case Buffalo) determines if the person being sponsored is eligible.

Hooray! Step 1, check. On to step 2! Good luck in Buffalo. :)
