Wondering if anyone can tell me what happens after the status has been changed on CIC Online to: "A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision."

what happens then?

Also, I've read in some posts that CIC usually requests the passport, they have not requested it from me, is this a bad sign??

(Application info: Outland Sponsorship, USA Citizen, husband is Canadian but I am currently living in Canada)

Thanks.

a lot of visa exempt applicants (such as us citizens) are waived passport request. if the applicant's ECAS is saying decision made, you did not have an interview and CIC did not request more information, more than likely your approval paper is in the mail. congrats! it can take a week or so to get to you, depending where you are. it will be a brown envelop in the regular mail from CIC. when did you submit your application?

Oh Thats so great to hear... I will be looking forward to receiving the envelope.

We applied in April 2013. It's been a long wait, I am just glad its almost over.

Thanks for the info.

My wife's status changed to DECISION MADE today, about time!

canNZ did you guys applied inland or outland?

Outland, so we will need to do our landing.

Wow thats a long wait june 2013 ?? Almost 20 months , any red flags on your application??

No, but a strike in the middle of it didn't help. Only real hiccup was an incorrect police check form.

Have u been living together here in Canada? Or she's in the Philippines?

My wife is not Filipino, not all applicants who get their file sent there are from the Phillipines.

as for your first enquiry, she was staying here as a visitor.

Oh ok sorry about that :D
