DECISION MADE PASSPORT SENT: How much time does it take to receive passport back

Hey guys! Quick back story:
I'm Canadian, he is from France. We did the spousal sponsorship from OUTSIDE Canada in end of September (from France). We got his passport request, so we sent it to Paris, France to get it stamped at the visa office.
How long will it take to receive the official letter or visa?

If he is French, you should not have sent his actual passport. He is visa-exempt and doesn't require stamping.
