Visa Exempt - Decision Made: 02/09/2016
OLD CEC June 2014 Applicant - We received Decision Made in ECAS yesterday. We are visa exempt so we are not expecting PPR just COPR in the mail. We did meds last Feb, got RPRF request in November....what are the chances the decision is a negative one? Am I being overly paranoid?

Unless you were asked for additional proof of your relationship after you submitted the application, and/or had an interview, it's very likely to be a positive decision.

Ok...I'd even go so far as saying that it IS a positive decision. ;)

LOL well thank you for that response! I am a bit over paranoid as it has been a 21 month wait...and we don't want to get too excited just in case but this answer makes me want to go buy a bottle of champagne! :P

This is a CEC app not spousal. So it could be a positive or negative decision.

They usually e-mail a negative decision though correct? At least that's what I have noticed in past threads. The trend seems to be that they receive a refusal e-mail and their status in ECAS still says in process (I am assuming it is because they have 30 days to appeal). Do you know if they email or mail refusal letters?

From what I have seen yes that seems to be their process. Likely it is a positive decision. I don't know anyone personally who has been refused, but those that were approved received mail correspondence.
